If there’s one thing I’ve learned from all the weddings I’ve had the privilege to accompany, it’s this:
No wedding goes exactly according to plan – and that’s precisely what makes it perfect.
n my daily work as a wedding planner, I experience big emotions, quiet moments, nervous excitement, happy tears, and so much love. Here, I share a few thoughts, tips, and small stories that have stayed especially close to my heart.
One thought I share with every couple
Many couples come to me with the desire to do everything right: the right location, the right colors, the perfect schedule.

And then I often say:
Es gibt kein „richtig“ – es gibt nur „eures“.
I’ve experienced weddings that went completely against every rule – and they were beautiful. Because they were honest. Because they felt real. And that’s exactly what your guests will feel too.
A small story from a wedding day
I remember one couple where it started to rain shortly before the ceremony. The plan was an outdoor ceremony in the garden. Within minutes, everything had to be rearranged.
The bride looked at me and simply said:
“This will just become part of our story.”
In the end, it was one of the most emotional ceremonies I’ve ever experienced. Everyone sat closer together, there was laughter, tears – and the moment was unforgettable.
Sometimes it’s exactly these unplanned moments that stay with us forever.
My most important planning tip from experience
Don’t plan your wedding just for photos – plan it for feelings.
Ask yourselves from time to time:

Where can we breathe?
When are we simply the two of us?
Where can emotions happen without time pressure?

I consciously plan moments that don’t appear on any schedule – because that’s where the magic happens.
A thought on perfection
I often see couples stressing over small details:
the exact shade of the napkins, the precise order of events, the worry about whether everything is “beautiful enough.”

From my experience, I can say this:

A small trick from my planner’s everyday life
Before the wedding, write down three things that truly matter to you on that day. Just three.
Everything else is allowed to come and go.
This small focus helps immensely – especially when the excitement starts to rise.
